Lois and Gerardo (Lalo) first met in Boise, Idaho, in July 2017 when Lalo was in town for work. After matching on Tinder, they met up for drinks downtown and spent the evening walking and talking — the start of something special.

When Lalo returned home to Los Angeles, they stayed friends. A year later, Lalo helped Lois update her resume and apply for accounting jobs in LA, and by June 2018, she made the move south. From there, their lives began to intertwine — cheering each other on through career changes, adventures, and new milestones.

Together, they love being active and outdoors — running, hiking, and cycling whenever they can. During the pandemic, they ran from the Staples Center to the Santa Monica Pier (15 miles!), and in 2022 they conquered all the highest peaks in Southern California, finishing with Mount Whitney. They also share a love of travel, exploring places like Mexico and the Mediterranean, and have tackled two home remodels together — their current Santa Monica house is their favorite project yet.

In 2025, they took on the adventure of parenthood and they welcomed baby Bruno, the sweetest baby boy. Now, they can’t wait to celebrate their marriage surrounded by family and friends on July 18, 2026.
